Hello, loves! My name is Lindsey. Welcome to my blog. Let me share a little bit about myself and why I’m here.
This blog is about my life and my journey of self-discovery and growth. I created this blog as a way for me to share all of the amazing insight I’m learning on this journey called life. I try to look at every opportunity, every person and every moment as a teacher. I want to soak up every bit of information, knowledge and experience that I can! There is always something to learn. Every day is a new adventure! I’m leaning to love myself and live an authentic life. Turns out this world is a pretty amazing place.
I came to yoga hoping to find some relief from generalized anxiety and stress. As a dancer, I was also hoping to find another form of exercise that I’d enjoy. I soon discovered that yoga not only helped manage my anxiety and stress, it completely changed my life. Through yoga and meditation I was able to quiet my mind, peel away the layers of what and who I thought I was supposed to be, and discovered my true self. It opened my eyes to a world I didn’t even know existed.
I completed my 200 hour yoga teacher training in June 2012. The training was an amazing and life-changing experience. I finally discovered what I was put on this earth to do: to teach yoga. I completed my 300 hour yoga teacher training in May 2016. That was an amazing experience as well! I couldn’t be more grateful to be on this path. My goal is to learn as much as I can and continue to be the best teacher (and student) that I can be!
Passionate about the difference yoga has made in my life, I hope to help others alleviate their stress and anxiety through the principles and practice of yoga and meditation. I want to help people discover themselves and all they are capable of…in life and on their yoga mat. In every situation we come across in life, we have an opportunity to learn so much about ourselves. I want to share what I learn with the world and hope that maybe I can inspire even just one person to look within themselves and discover all that’s possible for each and every one of us.
Yoga isn’t just about exercise. It’s about SO much more! I really believe that if everyone took just five minutes a day to slow down, breathe and be still with themselves and their thoughts, that the world would be a different place.
Be present; it is the only moment that matters.
I am an avid animal lover and work full-time as a Certified Veterinary Technician. I am also in school part-time studying Nutritional Therapy. I live in the sunny state of Colorado with my amazing partner, Charles. We moved here in July 2016 from Minnesota (where I was born and raised) and I absolutely love it here! Here is a picture of my two fur babies, Hunni and Jude. They are basically little pieces of my heart walking around outside my body. I love them so much! I am a crazy cat lady and proud of it! 🙂 I also enjoy music, singing, dancing, playing the ukulele, writing, exploring nature, hiking, photography and cooking.
