About Me

Hello, beautiful souls! My name is Lindsey. I am a 500 hour Registered Yoga Teacher and the face behind Peacefully Present.

ME    02-YA-TEACHER-RYT-500

When I first came to yoga I was hoping to find some relief from generalized anxiety and stress. I didn’t know what to expect, but I soon discovered that yoga not only helped manage my anxiety and stress, it completely changed my life. Through yoga and meditation I was able to quiet my mind, peel away the layers of what and who I thought I was supposed to be, and discover my true self. It opened my eyes to a world I didn’t even know existed.

Passionate about the difference yoga has made in my life, I help others alleviate their stress and anxiety through the principles and practice of yoga and meditation. I want to help people discover themselves and all they are capable of…in life and on their yoga mat. In every situation we come across in life, we have an opportunity to learn so much about ourselves. I want to share what I learn with the world and hope that maybe I can inspire even just one person to look within themselves and discover all that is possible.

Yoga isn’t just about exercise. It’s about SO much more! I really believe that if everyone took just five minutes a day to slow down, breathe and be still with themselves and their thoughts, that the world would be a different place.

I  gear my classes and workshops to meet the needs and goals of my students. This may include stress reduction, breathing exercises, guided visualization and meditations, building physical strength and flexibility, and releasing tension. I love teaching simple, yet effective ways to calm the mind and body, that can be easily implemented on or off a yoga mat. I also enjoys sharing these practices in a workplace setting, hoping to give people the tools to combat any stress and physical tension that their workday brings. I LOVE teaching yoga to beginners or people who may assume yoga isn’t for them.

I am also a Reiki Master and have enjoyed exploring this amazing healing practice. I love incorporating reiki into my yoga classes.

I completed my 230 hour Yoga Teacher Training in 2012 at Green Lotus Yoga and Healing Center under Marcia Appel, Candy Bell, Merry Beth Hovey and Gwen Linden-Bruzek. I completed my 300 hour Advanced Teacher Training program there as well in May 2016. I am certified to teach gentle yoga, hatha yoga, Hot Fusion, vinyasa yoga, restorative yoga, yin yoga, chair yoga, and Yoga for CancerCare. I also assisted in teaching the 200 hour Teacher Training program at Green Lotus. I also completed trauma- informed teacher training in April 2021.

I live in the sunny state of Colorado with my amazing husband, Charles. We moved here from Minnesota (where I was born and raised) in July 2016 and we absolutely love it here!  We have two cats named Hunni and Jude. I also enjoy music, singing, dancing (as much and as often as possible), playing the ukulele, writing, exploring nature, hiking, photography, cooking and jazz hands.

I am an avid animal lover and work full-time as a Certified Veterinary Technician. I can often be found trying to befriend every dog, cat or other animal I see.

I created this blog as a way for me to share all of the amazing insight I’m learning on this journey called life. I try to look at every opportunity, every person and every moment as a teacher. I want to soak up every bit of information, knowledge and experience that I can! There is always something to learn. Every day is a new adventure! I’m learning to love myself and live an authentic life. Turns out this world is a pretty amazing place!

Be present; it is the only moment that matters.

Sending light and love your way….

Namaste!
